About Moon & Back Australia

While Moon & Back was officially launched in 2013, our story began a decade earlier.

In 2003, the original founders started the company as Bear Memories, home to Australia's original Graduation Signature Bear. At a time when graduation keepsakes were virtually unheard of, Bear Memories pioneered a new tradition, creating meaningful products that allowed students to celebrate milestones while capturing the signatures and messages of classmates and teachers. Over the years, these signature keepsakes became treasured memories for hundreds of thousands of Australian students and remain an important part of our business today.

As relationships with schools continued to grow, so did the opportunity to help them beyond graduation. Schools were looking for a trusted partner who could simplify fundraising while offering beautifully designed, affordable gifts that families would genuinely love to give. In 2013, Moon & Back was born with a simple goal: to help schools run successful fundraising stalls and graduation programs without the stress, uncertainty and endless hours of planning that often come with them.

The name Moon & Back was inspired by the children's book "Guess How Much I Love You" and the themes of unconditional love, warmth and connection. At its heart, the story captures the idea that love is immeasurable – the book ends with Big Nutbrown Hare telling Little Nutbrown Hare "I love you right up to the moon – AND BACK."

When the business was purchased by Gifts to Give in 2022, we built upon that meaning with the introduction of our infinity symbol — a reflection of enduring relationships, lasting memories and our ongoing commitment to the schools and communities we proudly support.

Over the years, we've partnered with thousands of schools and community organisations across Australia, supporting fundraising programs that bring communities together while creating lasting memories for children and their families.

What started as a graduation bear business has grown into a trusted destination for School Fundraising, Mother's Day gifts, Father's Day gifts, Christmas Celebration Stalls and exclusive signature graduation keepsakes.

Today, our experienced team continues to work closely with schools across Australia, state, catholic, independent – primary, secondary and universities providing expert advice, practical resources and thoughtfully selected products designed here in Melbourne, that deliver both fundraising success and meaningful gifting moments.
